Good Needles
Apr 30, 2021  |  By Richard K.

This #14 needle is just what I was looking for. Not too thick and not too long (3"). Easy to work with and has a big enough eye to accept the pre-wased thread for heavy duty outdoor stitching. I attach these to the scabbards of my fixed blade knives for Emergency outdoor work. Good price.

The needles will be used for emergency repairs on various clothes. They appear well made and I expect them to last a long time. Service was great and if I need more needles or other supplies, here is where I am going.

Sailmaker's Needles
Oct 29, 2019  |  By Jason Wise

I ordered eight of the #10 sailmaker's needles for use in leather and canvas as well as using the needles themselves as awls. Their triangular cross section makes them ideal for widening holes and even drilling holes in softer material like antler pith, softwood, and bamboo. Very nice, smooth edges, crisp points, and perfect eyes. They also came wrapped in a piece of anti-corrossion paper for good measure. The order was delivered to me in just a few days, which is pretty outstanding for being halfway across the country. I will definitely be buying from Sailmaker's Supply again.

The Real Deal!
Feb 8, 2019  |  By Rob

I received these and a requested birthday gift. I have been using the size 14 and 16 needles for some months, sewing canvas bags, anorak and leggings for myself. These are the real deal, and able to push through multiple layers of 10 oz. canvas easily. Outstanding product and service.

Great needles -- makes doing it yourself possible, with ease.
Aug 15, 2017  |  By William Davis

Combine the great needles, with a variety of sizes and eye openings with the palm tool and a whole new world of working with marine cloth and sailboat canvas opens up. Can't wait to take an older sail and see if I can restore it for another few years of working on board.

Great needle
Jun 25, 2017  |  By Fran Grinels

I tried many types of needles to go through 3 layers of felt and leather hide, using elastic round cording. The Sailmaker's needle, size 14 works best of many I tried. I esp. like that it is sharp and three sided.
