These hooks are really rare as hen's teeth. Very glad you carry them. I saw another review that stated the hooks needed sharpening and this is true. The SAILMAKER'S APPRENTICE gives instructions for this showing the shoulder a little behind the point that keeps goring of the material to a minimum.

After reading E.Marino's book Sailmakers Apprentice , was intrigued as the "scorpion hook" decided to try with my trotline building , after modifications , seems to help a lot. My trotlines are not standard... I use 5/16 to 3/8 rope as a main line and 550# hook drops. Catching catfish from 30 to 50 pounds consistent. Using 12/0 tuna hooks , needing a larger mainline . So as a review ,after modifications they work for my application will be buying again. Captain Ted English
