PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:
We are not sure what metal these snap fasteners are made of, but it is not stainless steel and not nickel-plated brass. They are not for use in the marine environment.
However, they are very inexpensive! They're sold in packs of 25 studs and eyelets for $1.00 per bag. Choose sliver or gold finish.
The studs and eyelets are the same size as the Dot Durable® brand marine quality we sell. The length of the "post" would be considered "long" at 5/16", so use them will thick layers of fabric or webbing.
Use these for snapping fabric to fabric (or webbing, etc.), with our matching (and on sale) buttons and sockets. To install the fasteners, use the same tools as our marine quality snap fasteners.
