Spinnaker Cloth very helpful

Got a new (white) spinnaker and decided I really needed a themed and colorful one so I wanted a yard of similar dacron to experiment with re color retention and dye possibilites. This was very nice fabric and useful for possible patches down the road as well. Turns out what stains dacron pretty well is a new paint out for cosplay (not all colors stain as well - blue came out amazing as did the yellow - neon green not so much). Also sharpie worked very well. Cut up some samples and drew circles and colored them all in with various products. Then crumpled the heck out of the fabric swatches and put in a big jar with water and detergent and shook it up several times a day. After 3 days still no color in the water so the dyes worked well. The fabric held up very well, as expected of course. Anyway, if I was going to actually make a sail I would use this in a heartbeat - light and strong and well woven!
