PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:
We are not sure what metal these snap fasteners are made of, but it is not stainless steel and not nickel-plated brass. They are not for use in the marine environment.
However, they are very inexpensive! They're sold in packs of 25 buttons and sockets for $1.00 per bag.
The buttons and sockets are the same size as the Dot Durable® brand marine quality we sell. The button measures approximately 5/8" diameter. The length of the "post" would be considered "long" at .240", so use them will thick layers of fabric or webbing.
If you're snapping fabric to fabric (or webbing, etc.), we also have the matching stud and eyelets, and they also work with our regular screw studs. To install the fasteners, use the same tools as our marine quality snap fasteners.
